This week the All-Party Parliamentary Group for Education, which I chair, launched its report into the Loss of the Love of Learning in schools and colleges after taking evidence from primary, secondary, and FE students, as well as teachers and education sector stakeholders.

We took written evidence too, but the most valuable thing was speaking to those whose futures are at stake – the pupils.

This is just the beginning. Over the course of this Parliament, we will delve into the challenges uncovered in our inquiry and work to build an education sector in the UK that gives children the best possible start in life.
