Steve Witherden and Llanidloes branch volunteers were out in force on Saturday for a full day of campaigning in the town.

Starting off with a stall in the market on Great Oak Street, meeting voters out and about, Steve went up to the weekly Gaza vigil before a successful afternoon of canvassing with local members and the town’s mayor, Cllr Jamie Jones.

Steve commented: “Just had a very good day campaigning here in Llanidloes, the third biggest town in the constituency.

“We started off with a market stall just down the road on this very street, meeting members of the public and talking about our policies, but also talking about the upcoming Police and Crime Commissioner election next week, with our brilliant candidate Philippa Thompson.

“From there we went up to the other end of the street to the Gaza vigil, before going on to doorknock and leaflet all around the town, meeting residents here. It’s been a very good day.”

Police and Crime Commissioner elections are taking place in Wales on Thursday, 2 May 2024. Find out more about the Dyfed-Powys candidate Philippa Thompson here, and the North Wales candidate Andy Dunbobbin here.
