Steve Witherden met up with Welshpool Labour branch members today to hold a stall event on Broad Street, discussing the town’s issues and priorities with local voters.

There is a strong sense in Welshpool that change is needed, especially considering concerns around the vitality of the local economy and access to basic services, with the year between the last high street bank closing and the banking hub opening still fresh in people’s minds.

Steve commented: “As an MP, I will work with County and Community Councils to promote our area. In Welshpool, I will be a loud voice in support of the town council’s plans to revitalise the town and ensure its long term economic viability. This also means opposing ill-thought out large developments on the bypass which will reduce visitor numbers.”
