Supporters have been out in force campaigning in Chirk and Acrefair recently, with Steve having attended the amazing Chirk Carnival with his dog Bertie Carrots.

Steve Witherden, Welsh Labour candidate for Montgomeryshire & Glyndŵr, said:

“I’m here today at Chirk Carnival, 1 June 2024. Chirk Carnival always has an absolutely electric atmosphere.

“Absolutely fantastic to have such a good turnout and to have an event like this in our constituency. Chirk Carnival just seems to have grown from strength to strength over the last few years and it always seems to have a bigger turnout every year, which is amazing to see.

“I’d recommend anyone in the constituency come and check it out.”

Steve said: “We’re here at the beautiful Chirk aqueduct, we’ve just assembled for a lovely photo with all the campaigners who have been helping us canvass.

“Before we came here we were in Acrefair, doorknocking in the pouring rain.

“Everybody’s delighted and happy to be here!”
